Early Morning Snowfall

It's early January in the Coast Range and we are getting our first real snow of the winter. Temperatures are in the mid 20s and the sky is battleship gray...but the softly falling snow energizes everyone in the house.

Even though we are eagerly awaiting the first signs of spring...which typically happen in late February...the snow reminds us of our Midwest roots...and how much we don't miss having to shovel the white stuff...which will probably be gone in a day or two.

Here's to the four seasons...and the constancy of change!
